Inevitably we need to move towards a regenerative economy in which businesses are used as a force for good to balance people, the planet, and profit. This requires policymakers to initiate and change laws for consumers to make educated, visible choices. Organizations need to change the way they approach business. The cooperative is working to speed up this transition by bringing together a global network of all industry leaders with a shared mission.
Dynamo Camp – “Serious Fun Network” founded by Paul Newman
Dynamo Camp’s mission is to support the right to happiness of children suffering from severe or chronic pathologies. Founded by Paul Newman in 1988 of the first camp in USA. Since then, the now 30 worldwide camps have been the promoting force for these therapeutic experiences for sick children. Children are simply children; the real cure is laughter, and the medicine is happiness. As the founder Paul said, “Raise a little hell.”
B Corp® Certification
B Corp Certification is a nonprofit network transforming the global economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet. It is not entirely focused on a single social or environmental issue. The process to achieve and maintain certification every three years is rigorous and requires engaging teams and departments across a company. Verification involves documentation a company’s business model, operations, structure, and multiple work processes. In addition, a review of potential public complaints and visits by evaluation staff. 93 countries; 7,896 companies (12.23); 161 industries.
Mercy Ships
Mercy Ships’ mission is to bring hope and healing to regions where medical resources are scarce. They use hospital ships as an efficient means to deliver free surgery and medical training to those in need. In addition to surgeries, Mercy Ships programs include training local professionals, providing medical tools and resources, and renovating facilities. By joining Mercy Ships, individuals have the opportunity to use their unique talents and skills to transform lives and make a lasting impact.
